Fall and winter production

Writer's picture: Louisette and PeterLouisette and Peter

It's hard to believe but I planted your fall and winter harvest. Brussels sprouts, red and green cabbage, savoy cabbage, cauliflower, kale, kohlrabi, rutabaga, and more. Outside they will produce from the first frost to hard freeze up the end of November. This frost is important it will make those vegetables sweet. The lettuce is starting to bolt so I planted a new crop it should start production in 2 weeks and go on into september. The greenhouse should produce December to april. I do have winter broccoli that starts producing February to April. The heads are a beautiful purple. All this produce will grow without the input of heat. So good for the environment and very nutrients dense for you all winter long. I do have flowers in the vegetable garden that is good for biodiversity. this is a nice dahlia. To be able to indulge in these, you will have to put in an offer. Don't wait do it today.
