There is lots of sprouting going on, in the house. The beans are breaking the soil. Corn with their spiky look. The beats with their red stems. The spinach with two slender leaves and so many more it is exiting. It gives hope for the future.
Outside it is still cold we went down to 1C cast night and only 9C for day time high. This is not good for growing. The Plants in the garden are ok they can stand the cold, they are just not growing on top of the soil, but last week I showed how the roots are developing in the soil. This means that when the warm weather starts they will sprout on the top and with the good rooting system in the ground there is no doubt we will have a good harvest early
This morning for breakfast we had our eggs, bacon, tomato and avocado on a lush bed of our own spinach it was a good start of the day.
